We are a few minutes walk from the Stazione
Santa Maria Novella, the main train station in Florence. Taxi service from the airport
will cost approximately € 20. From the airport, you can also catch a
"SITA" bus that will let you off on the opposite side of the
station. Cross in front of the station and walk up Via Nazionale
(the street is called "Largo Alinari"
by the McDonald's across from the station, then
becomes Via Nazionale) to Via Guelfa.
From the autostrada, take any Firenze exit, depending
which direction you are coming from (Nord, Sud, or Certosa). Follow the
signs for "Centro," and look for signs for "Fortezza da Basso." When
you find yourself on Viale Strozzi,
keep right, this leads into Viale S. Lavagnini. Turn right at the lights onto Via Santa Caterina D'Alessandria, which
leads onto Via Nazionale. The first right after
Piazza Indipendenza is Via Guelfa.
Turn right onto Via Guelfa at the yellow flashing
light, this is the first right after Piazza D'Indipendenza.
"Il Bargellino" is in the middle of the
block at #87, on the left.
